Apple is not releasing details about the new antenna, which has been spotted on Apple devices for several months.
The new feature allows the Apple TV to receive TV signals, including those from multiple sources, such as wireless antennas, by connecting an Apple TV with an antenna connected to an Apple Watch or Apple TV remote.
A company that sells the Apple Watch and other Apple products has sold antennas with Omni-Directional antennas, which allow the devices to receive signals from wireless antennas without having to connect to the Internet.
The Omni-directional antenna allows Apple to receive television signals from multiple wireless sources without having a wired connection.
The Apple TV will support the new Omni-Mode technology in the coming weeks.
It will support Apple TV and the new Apple Watch, the company said in a blog post, but the new software is not yet ready to use.
